In reply to the discussion: What are your plans for election evening? [View all]Solly Mack

I don't want to miss the moment a woman (finally and long overdue) becomes President.
I don't want to stay awake should it go the other way and know I missed out on my last night of decent sleep.
Decent sleep. Not great. Just decent. Because I'd still carry the two possible outcomes into my slumber - there would still be hope even as one possible outcome is a nightmare. So, a good shot of at least getting some sleep.
But definitely my last night of decent sleep should it go badly.
Because, Trump.
See?
Torn.

I will be on DU commenting and reading while I flip between MSNBC and CNN.

Yep - that except for the CNN part. If the Reps are losing, I will turn on Fox for a while.

There is at least a reasonable chance we won't know much election evening or even overnight...

If Florida or Texas flip, we might know pretty early. Then it's over for Trump and the Republican party.

You could argue the same for North Carolina (and they report EARLY). REALLY hoping for NC!

While it's a small EC vote - would Hawaii vote blue? Wouldn't they be last...

I like him. His reporting of Blue votes yet to be counted in 2020 kept me sane until Biden was declared winner.

I'll go to sleep early. Hopefully, it will be decided by the time I wake up.

In addition to MSNBC/CNN and DU, I forgot to mention texting friends and family.

Unplug the TV. Vote first thing in the morning. Go to bed early. The following weeks are going to be a nightmare.

I'm torn. I thought of joining with neighbors to watch, and bringing Walz's hot dish recipe.

Contemplating heading to La Push where there's no internet access and no TV.
