(62,325 posts)19. I never expect particular DUers in threads that deal with these issues.
But I am thrilled to see Progressives across the country now uniting in a huge and growing Coalition with other groups, the Unions eg, and advocacy groups for the elderly, to stop the destruction of the Middle Class and to support Labor.
For a while, Progressives were being marginalized in this party, but they are no longer willing to be pushed aside and have said so. There is strength in numbers and I always felt if people united, WE would be in control of our own party, rather than the Third Way/DLC and Corporations.
I think this is now beginning to happen.
I'm sure the anti-Labor people hate MM. And I'm sure he cares about that hatred as much as he cares what George Bush thinks of him.
