if not the substance. That’s the way most dictatorships are structured these days: pseudo-republics with no real choices. I’m sure that the Republican Party will have candidates, but whether the Democrats will be allowed to field candidates or hold office will be up in the air.

My guess is Democrats won’t be allowed either option.
