Credible commitments from Manchin and Sinema. Yeah not likely.

Two years from now 22 Republican seats up for reelection, but if you look at the states, it doesn't seem much of an improvement is likely.

Maybe someone can convince me otherwise and cheer me up but I think the only positive change would have to wait for 2028.

Maybe Thomas or Alito will resign and be replaced before then by some kind of replicant, but it's hard to imagine it would be worse.

Then again, I've found a lot of things hard to imagine lately.
