I'm currently limiting my listening to WDPR Dayton Public Radio for their classical musical selections, College and University music stations for what's new and fun, and Spotify.
I'm allowing myself to stay updated periodically through social interactions here on Democratic Underground and quickly browsing through comments in reddit's law subreddit.
I'm done with NPR national desk. They failed miserably to give honest and accurate coverage to the depraved criminal enterprise that is the GOP.
On occasion I'm still allowing myself to listen to portions of Brian Lehrer's broadcasts on WNYC-AM out of NYC.
Outside of that... I'll continue gardening, beekeeping, preserving and cooking delicious nutritional foods, hanging with my honey, our daughter, and our closest friends.
The rest of our families are militant theocratic fascists. We're the only members that escaped the sordid depravity. So... we don't really interact with them except in very, very limited ways.
We'd love to sell our place here in Louisiana, purchase somewhere else with our daughter, and get the hell out of Dodge...
Question is... where to go?
Massachusetts has some nice areas with homes in the $75K to $125K range that are worth considering...
The devil is always in the details... work, healthcare, taxes... and most importantly to us getting to be with our daughter that's in her 30's.
We are not financially set for life by any stretch of one's imagination... so all details must be considered.
So like you instead of internalizing MAGA hatred, we're embracing what we love and actively seeking it out.
Here's to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness... by all means necessary...
