34. It's the letdown after a huge high

I, too, felt like I was kicked in the stomach. Lots of reasons for that, of course. But I remembered what a rush I got when Kamala came forward as the candidate--which was reflected by what seemed to be a universal outpouring of joy and love. This continued, and even built, during the campaign. Such a stark contrast to the hate and fear on the other side!

Then, instantly, that huge bubble of joy was pierced and deflated. It was like watching the death of a loved one. It will take me some time to get over it.
