2. Eventually.

But how long will it take? I have been thinking for a long time that all of human history can be summed up as one thousand steps forward, and 999 steps backward. Well, Tuesday we went about 500 steps backward. I wonder how long it will take to make up those lost steps? Eventually, though, we will. As you said, the way of truth and love will always prevail. Eventually.
