to a lesser extent about abortion. It turned out to be a referendum on Biden, and she did nothing to differentiate herself from Biden.

The only sitting VP who was elected President in my lifetime was George H. W. Bush. He had the good fortune to be serving with Reagan, who remained fairly popular at the end of his 2nd term. So Bush didn't explicitly reject any of Reagan's policies.

Harris didn't have the same luck. Biden had the lowest approval ratings of any 1st term President since Jimmy Carter. Yet when asked if she would have done anything different than Biden, she couldn't or wouldn't give any answer.
