In the 1940s, a guy named Friedrich Hayek wrote a book titled The Road To Serfdom, a diatribe against socialism, state planning/regulation, etc., arguing that we were all about to become slaves to the government(s). I think it's time for a re-write, and my title is going to be The Super-Highway to Serfdom; it will be a discussion of corporate/oligarchical enslavement through the erosion of education, voting, civil rights, labor rights, free expression, by the various right-wing forces let loose by Reagan and his successors through The Felon. I may be too late on it at this point, but I think I should give it a try anyway.
