Trump et al. started talking about executing his enemies. And, what does discussing a pardon for Hunter have to do with trashing President Biden? Why would Joe changing his mind in a changing milieu not be realistic?

Regardless, it's not a bad idea to have Kamala do it for him. If he doesn't have it in him to do harsh things, resign and let her do it. His character is not in question, and no one has said it is. Kamala didn't make the statement. Her character is also not in question.
