9. We matter to him only to the extent that we react and give him attention.

My impression -- an impression formed with no direct knowledge -- is that he only concerns himself with (in no particular rank order):

#1 Groups, segments of society, or individuals he perceives as desirable or powerful that he wants to be part of or gain the approval of.

#2 Groups or individuals he perceives as "marks" he can exploit.

#3 Judicial or public officials who have power over him and exercise it in a way he doesn't like.

#4 Judicial or public officials he can bend to his will.

#5 People who block him from getting something he wants (whether gaining approval or acceptance of #1, exploiting #2, or subverting #3, or controlling #4 )

Unless you fall into category #5 or otherwise did something like spread an infamous meme that humiliated him in the eyes of #1 or caused the failure of a scheme to exploit #2, you are ok.

He cares about the noise we make only to the extent that any attention he gets from "the masses," negative or positive, serves his playbook.
