Scott Brown would have to wait until 2014 to run for Gov if he wants to take that route. When he does, he will face Timothy Murray likely. Murray is an effective Lt. Gov and was an outstanding Mayor of the second largest city in Massachusetts. Murray is an aggressive, tough campaigner and already has a big campaign fund built up. Murray is a Progressive who is also well liked by the business community. I don't see Massachusetts democrats matching Martha Coakley up against Brown again, given how poorly she campaigned last time and the assumption by republicans that they can beat her.
