(100 posts)Some Trump voters were uninformed or deceived, and others come from Republican families where everyone has just always voted party line. Im not making excuses for them, but its very hard to deal with neighbors and work contacts if youre convinced everyone with different political views is totally rotten.
I left my own church during the pandemic when CDC guidelines were openly being flouted, so I sympathize with your daughter. But if Im being honest, Ill admit there were red flags all along, and my particular churchs attitude toward that event just brought all the things that had been bugging me out into the open. Perhaps there were some red flags at your daughters church, too.
Were all wrestling with those questions, though. Trump made inroads in blue areas, so even here, were looking at his vote totals in neighboring counties and thinking, What have you people done?
