It's not up to us to work with Republicans, because that's been a feature of Democratic tactics, usually to our detriment.

It's the Republicans who need to move on this issue. Without any of them being on board, there is nothing to work with.

So, once again, I must ask: Which Republicans have you asked this of? What was their reaction? Because the ball is in their court. "We must try" is just hot air without support from their side.
