136. Give me a break!

"...we have a zillion damned weapons in this country, and no way are you going to round them up and melt them down. We have thousands upon thousands of automatic weapons and other horrific weapons in public hands. You aren't going to get them off the street - not in your lifetime or mine."

You can thank the NRA for that.

You mean, like buying a gun is a simple solution to the complex problem of how to deal with a screwed up life? Again, you can thank the NRA that so many people have decided owning and using a gun is the simple solution to all their complex problems.

Except restrict the precious rights of NRA members to own whatever weaponry they feel necessary to solve their "complex problems."

The NRA is at the absolute white hot center of this atrocity. It is the NRA that has opposed every reasonable restriction on "gun rights"--which I take to be the rights of gun manufacturers to keep us all in terror, for our own lives and the lives of our children, so that they can turn a profit.

So, to Hell with the NRA and all who sail with it. And to Hell with all the "gun rights" apologists who seek to cool the anger of those who see this obscenity for what it is. Let the faces of these dead children haunt them for the rest of their squalid, putrifying lives.
