It's even worse today:

It's like CNN is presenting this as a real option-- that we can just EXPAND INTO Canada. They even marvel that it would "rival the Louisiana Purchase!"

These are actual sovereign countries with citizens.
Of course it's completely not possible. But they don't headline:
