(5,506 posts)But I think there is distracting misinformation to deflect from the actual theft. There were bomb threats in blue precincts including some voting tech areas briefly vacated. Some funny stuff w a tabulator in State College PA. 100K ballots not tabulated in a very blue precinct in Wisconsin. And his final swing state edge was ~280k. But then we had a Billionaire, Mark Cuban pulling Kamala to the center with our strategy to court moderate GOP women. The fact is we didn't even try and fail to reverse or even talk about the 2017 tax "cuts", which have actually been a middle class tax hike. Our tax code has become mostly regressive over 40 years but our reps and Senators rarely speak of it and never try to fix it. Our social security payroll tax has been mismanaged and left the majority of America worse off. I get angered when all that is offered on health care are publicity stunts. Top ten medicare meds get their prices negoiated. Cap on insulin for medicare but not elsewhere and so on. Having said that Joe was amazing his first year and while below his ask and what should have been passed was still huge, transformative and will continue to help. But it was like a large bandaid on a festering infection. Problem is our Senators and Reps get paid several times the median wages and have other benefits that pull them away from our daily struggles and the the fundraising, lobbying and angling for jobs after all dilute many hopeful voices. We are so doomed if one or more catastrophic events happen the next two years. Big trouble even withbout those just with these fools running wild.
