15. I think there are instances where the public having guns would save lives....

for instance, in the Gafford incident...but I don't see teachers having guns as being any help in this situation.

In the Gafford incident....his gun jammed or he had to reload. There would've been time to shoot him at that time, even though the crowd had been taken by surprise. I think they ended up wrestling him to the ground and getting his gun, while he was reloading or something.

In the movie theatre, a gun in the audience might have helped. Too many people for the shooter to keep an eye on, esp since it was dark. Someone could've shot him, w/o him ever being aware what hit him. He was standing up, outlined against the light of the screen, presumably. But who knows? There are no easy answers to surprise domestic terrorism.
