Just take control of the channels of public information and news, and then turn lies about your opponents and their supporters into a perceived reality.

Today, the Republicans own the media in all its forms. While California burns, they are busy spreading the message that the wildfires are due to the incompetence of Democrats. And that's what a large majority of Americans are being told by their local (Republican owned) media.
