it's about (1) increasing $$ for owners - ie billionaires who are greedy as heck and will push back on anything that helps us - o/t, workers rights, unions, etc. and (2) christian nationalism - project 2025 is going to be rammed down our throats because religion helps to control the masses.

the other stuff is wedges and theater.
