1. That shows what a stranglehold the NRA, republicans, and right wing has on the country.

They have stifled all common sense when it comes to guns with their vile propaganda that paints anyone who would put some regulations on the owning of guns as evil.

I come from a family who hunts. Grandfather, father, brothers, husband, sons, and their grandfathers on Mr. Shraby's side, so I have nothing against guns used in that context.

What's wrong is to vilify all who think there should be regulations surrounding the ownership of a dangerous article. There are regulations of other dangerous things such as cars, explosives, poisons, drugs, etc., things that have uses that are beneficial as well as dangerous to use. There is no reason on "God's green earth" not to have sensible regulations for guns.

Another thing, funding for mental health is woefully inadequate and the rules surrounding the implementation of help for the mentally ill is also wrong headed and inadequate.
