You are right, criminals aren't criminals until they commit a crime, that is the first thing sensible thing I have read on this thread so far, but you seek to deny the right to protection to those who have committed no crime. Should we castrate all men because they might commit rape?

But again, you seek to punish the 99% for the action of the 1%, there is no getting around it. Tell me where else in society we do this?

How does guns contribute to society? For the thousand and thousands that have prevented personal harm or death to themselves. You refuse to accept that evil exists with the exception of the NRA. I won't even go into all the jobs and tax base guns provide, it is irrelevant, it is about denying the weak self protection from the strong and wicked. There is not a doubt in my mind, given the right circumstance, you would want self protection in your hand, you may not realize that until it happens.

You need to seek the bigger picture, the root of the problem, not the tool used.
