(736 posts)Starting in the immediate aftermath of the election. I was desperate for even the sense that someone was fighting for us or taking a strong leadership role.
Inauguration Day didnt feel like much to me because it already felt like TFG had been in office for two months.
Maybe its just been the media or social media environment but its like that guy started immediately. Even an elderly family member commented on this independently.
So Ive been kind of desperately searching for a sense hes being countered and were being defended. I was praying people were just being cynical when they say no one is coming to save you. You have to fight this yourself.
And my argument is that the election was never a given. We knew all along there was a chance he would get back in so what? Were we just going to wing this existential threat?
So what? We wait for the DNC election? *eyeroll*
