I am worried about my physical safety and that of the people that I care about. I am worried that LGBTQ youth will have to fight the same fights that I thought were settled. Ok. That's out of the way. Now let's think about what do do next.

To paraphrase Obama, we are the ones we have been waiting for. If we sit idly by and expect someone else to do everything, that's abdicating your responsibility to do what you can.

I have no doubt that AOC and others think about this question constantly. It took decades for the GOP to reach this moment. It's going to take decades to undo the MAGA destruction.
