Just as "don't buy gas on day X" doesn't work, since, in the end, you need the same amount of gas whether you buying on a Tuesday or a Wednesday, this revolt is essentially the same.

The exception here is the encouragement of supporting small, local businesses, which should be done daily anyway. A one-day spike in sales can't be counted on for affecting anyone's bottom line.
