Before Elon got his Afrikanner mitts into it, Tesla was an innovative EV manufacturer whose engineers created a truly brilliant product. The original engineers of Tesla were Martin Eberhard and Marc Tarpenning. They co-founded Tesla Motors in 2003. Elon Musk then invested in Tesla in February 2004, becoming the company's largest investor and chairman of the board. He became CEO in 2008. Then lost his mind.
