they'll take a mile." The "inch" being high-capacity assault rifles and the feared "mile" meaning handgun registration and gun responsibility. It also has a whole lot to do with corporate profits, congressional enablers with "interests", the military-industrial complex and lots of Shadows that go bump in the night.

It's the murky place of non-definition between "War" and "Murder". It's mostly financial ... tinged by political and cultural, sometimes religious intrigue. No logic. The NRA is the cover of said murky place.
