it is engraved in my brain........he pounded civics and all documents into our brains relentlessly.......
We had to memorize, the preamble to the constitution, the first paragraph of Lincolns incredible speech, the bill of rights, etc etc etc

He also assigned us outside reading of The Ugly American, Animal Farm, 1984, and The Jungle. Which he nearly got fired for doing!

No wonder the Right Wing has successfully obliterated the courses on Civics and U.S. history.
