45. I'm sorry...

I have so many friends who have gone through this...

In a joint irony, my sister and I both lost the relationships we were convinced would be our "forever" partnerships decades ago--hers to a health crisis--mine to a tragedy. So, all these many years later I wonder what would have been and have a perverse sense of "well at least it wasn't that hurt and pain..." but truthfully it is just as bad--permanence doesn't change the feelings.

So, while I care deeply for my sister and my remaining more distant family members, I sink my attention into my friends and my beloved pup(s) ... Their divorces and sense of abandonment become mine too, but the pain kept at arm's reach...
