I don't dispute that, in the same sense that the Internet had lots of potential as we looked at it in 1997. But at this time, most of the AI "profits" are coming from people like Musk who can attract massive investor dollars even though most of the things he says about AI are grossly exaggerated. How many FDA workers, for example, can AI realistically replace (achieving the same results through AI that humans do today,) in the next 2 years, for example?

When do you think Elon is likely to deliver an AI system that can safely and reliably replace human air traffic controllers? That's roughly the same scale as self-driving cars and Elon has not yet even delivered the things he promised for delivery in 2016. That is a fraud.

The fraud in this case is that he's just firing people willy-nilly without no evaluation of just how AI would magically replace their jobs. AI really has nothing to do with it. They just wanted to do massive firings, just as he did when he burned Twitter to the ground. P.S. Twitter is never coming back from that.
