26. Hear Hear

It's not wise to embrace simple populism. That's what MAGA is and there's nothing about that movement that I can admire with the exception of their incredible success.

We need MAGA level energy to combat MAGA level energy. We were never going to get that with the three most recent nominees.

There needs to emerge real leadership and charisma backed by solid progressive bonafide. Gender isn't nearly as important as substance. I know all of us look forward to shattering the glass ceiling but we have to get out of the basement first.

There is NO ONE on MY radar that embodies that kind of energy right now. There are some great Democrats in Congress but they are foundering right now. We need new blood, solid principles and a dynamic persona to get out from under the current administration.

The new candidate also has to either gain independent swing voters or overwhelm them with energized party members. The Democrats LOSE AGAIN if they fail to energize the voters and regain blue collar centrists.
