21. that segment of "Goldfinger" was actually filmed at Fort Knox.

The soldiers were actual active duty personnel (probably National Guard or Reserves).

I saw the movie when it first came out, and it blew my mind when those choppers started zooming in around the Depository. It is visible from Interstate 65 and I have driven past it many times .

Of course this was in 1961 and guarding it was a bit easier.

The interior scenes were of course not filmed on site. There is no way they would be allowed inside the building. It is fairly easy to spray paint bars.
