The past couple of days here you can find just about any kind of post you want stating just about any kind of sentiment there is on either side of the gun issue.
No matter if you can see it or not, the killings last Friday has changed this debate forever in the way you hoped it never would. We are on that slippery slope you feared we would never be on. There is nothing you can do or say to stop it.
It doesn't matter what other virtues you posses, if you maintain your intransigent stand against any type of gun control or regulation , what you say is wasted words and wasted energy because the tide is now against you. You can help society do something about these killings or not. It doesn't matter because society wants to protect itself from the thing you find so important to yourselves, your guns. It's too late to talk to us about your rights or about the impossibility of gun laws to have any effect on gun violence.
