Not likely. I don't own guns.

Since I don't know you, I couldn't possibly compare my level of concern on the issue to yours. My point was that the refusal of gun owners to consider any compromise will only create more opposition to their cause.

I have trouble understanding how anyone can privilege their hobby above the lives of children. There are Many terms I could use to describe them, all worse than creatures.

This isn't about some zen inner peace. It Is about protecting our nation's children. If the gun lobby wants to make it a war, I will fight it. If they want to cooperate, I'll work with them. The choice is theirs. But make no mistake about it: we will no longer sit back and allow our children to be slaughtered. Those days are over.
