but back in '77-'82 fellow students from Stevens Tech in NJ or Univ. Delaware in the "other" Newark would head up to Sugarloaf for a long weekend during ski season. Non-student friends in Jersey would also head up to there. They didn't think of it as especially elite.
That may have changed--it's been a long time since then.
