I absolutely don't understand the mentality of someone who helped elect Obama and then sat out the midterms so that Obama didn't have the tools he needed to accomplish policy. It makes zero sense to me. Heck, there was a special election in Georgia within weeks of the 2008 election and Obama voters there stayed home for that,even knowing the implications of the Republicans won.

Even if people have some predisposition towards what they perceive as a charismatic candidate, it seems strange to me that they then sabotage him or her.
