(15,771 posts)First of all, strict rule no scrolling in bed. At least at night (yes there are times when I will crawl in bed to get warm and scroll in the middle of the day which is also a bad habit I'm trying to break). When I go to bed I go to bed. I set the heater, I turn on my music on my phone I plug it in and I turn off everything else.
I have a candle that I burn low in my bedroom also. Even if it's just a tea light. I read somewhere that our brains are actually wired from being around the fire at night as we evolved. Therefore the colors of the red and the orange wavelengths as well as the flickering light helps with melatonin production and triggers natural sleep.
And then, lastly is the music that I have on my phone. I listen to biurnal beats and other hz waves in meditation music... A lot of times I will look specifically for stress relief, pain relief, deep sleep.
