2. How is this democracy?

Years ago I lived in Delaware where corporations are king. A group of citizens spent a year pushing through parking rules to address banking employees parking in their neighborhood. The legislation passed and the day after it went into effect the CEO made one phone call and the new rule was suspended.

When it comes to dealing with the wealthy in this country, democracy is just a myth.
