Meaning unencrypted. Your browser is set to reject http as "unsafe" even though it is perfectly fine for meaningless stuff, and you aren't transmitting your credit card or SSN. Such things need to be encrypted.

Doing so obsoletes the "old" internet, which is a damn shame. A certificate to host via https costs money, widening that digital divide.

Anyway, I do prefer a direct image link. It saves me work, as I post a lot, and most days, I spend waste time converting images and uploading them to an image host.

That was short? Anyway, that's what's going on.
