According to many independent sources, The Clinton Administration was responsible for the deaths of over 1/2 million Iraqi Children due to the Clinton Era sanctions on Iraq.
Madeleine Albright was Bill Clinton's Secretary of State during that time,
and in an appearance on 60 Minutes, she was asked about the death iof these 500,000 Iraqi children.
On May 12, 1996, Albright defended UN sanctions against Iraq on a 60 Minutes segment in which Lesley Stahl asked her "We have heard that half a million children have died. I mean, that's more children than died in Hiroshima. And, you know, is the price worth it?" and Albright replied "we think the price is worth it."
