On one hand, this happened because 'god isn't allowed in schools'. (Odd that we can tell an omnipotent being what to do.)

On the other hand, this was done due to his vengeance. (Sounds like a real great guy, this god fellow.)

And then still, the people that actually survived the attack did so because of this creature's mercy. (What, not enough mercy to go around?)
