5. Democracy only really functions when people are educated and engaged

These kids thinking is so incredibly shallow and vacuous, I fear that the USA has literally become too dumb (on average) to govern itself. The long-planned goal of 'vouchers' and 'charter schools' and 'homeschooling' has come to fruition, and the finishing touches on the dictatorship are being completed as everything from grade schools to colleges and universities come under full-scale attack. Fascist authoritarians have dumbed this place down to the point where they could end 'democracy' and take it over wholesale as a dictatorship. And nobody appears to know how to stop them.
