I got an email today that I think is strange. (It says it is from no-reply@ssa.gov.) It supposedly is providing a link to my SS statement. I am not clicking on the hyperlink.
I just logged in the way I set up when I first went on SS. And I was able to log in, but - it then said I had to create either a login.gov or ID.me acct. I exited, until I can find out more about this.
I looked up what login.gov is. I am not pleased about the possibility it might also ask me for a photo ID. That does not seem right. I am calling my Senator on Monday to find out more.
I saw someone on DU last night say something about getting a strange text, that was representing itself as being from SS.
