9. Yes. I have a couple of friends who are sincere in their beliefs and spend at least 40% of their time

doing charity pursuits of all types. Seriously--they "walk the walk"

Yet, I haven't seen any of these three women wearing a cross of any kind in years-even though I am pretty sure that they all once did. I asked one once what happened to the small, tiny diamond cross I knew that she'd been given by her parents decades ago. She as much as admitted that she and many others she knew felt "uncomfortable," because of the stigma political exploiters on the "right" had placed on the symbolism.

I wasn't surprised, but it does say a lot.
