I beginning to think I need a break ... [View all]

from DU.

Between the Newtown/gun control threads to the "He's caving" fiscal cliffs threads ... I'm being pushed to the realization that emotion here has over taken reason.

Yes, we need gun-control; no we should not NOT vote for any candidate that has taken/takes NRA money ... That would leave us with a legislature of anti-gun control folks.

Though no deal is set, hair is on fire because the same media that told us for months that the Presidential race was too close to call, is now telling us snippets of what is being discussed (e.g., Chain CPI); but not the entirety of what is being discussed. But it appears that just the mention of doing anything with "entitlements", whether true or not, is enough to have DUers promising never to vote again ... guaranteeing that whatever we will get is worse that what we might get, if the media is more accurate than they were last month.

It's just becoming too much.
