(7,795 posts)of civil servants who treat everything they do, and each client they interact with in exactly the same way. Having been a civil servant for over 20 years, and with the wide circle of friends I had there, it just really jacked my jaws to hear trump, the magas, and others talk down about them. I never met even one that fit the stereotype trump was trying to pawn off on us. We've been among the hardest working, most sincere people one could hope to do business with. And if you ever found yourself in a mess, and on the phone with a civil servant trying to get it cleaned up, these were the people you hoped you'd get. Once they get started on a problem, they don't let go until it's solved. The only BAD civil servants are those who don't think they're civil servants... they think they're the jester's assistants and pledge loyalty not to the constitution and the people whom they serve, but only to trump. IOW, now it's everybody in the government who wasn't there five years ago. And I feel so bad for those CS who are still working. I'm glad they still have their jobs, but feel bad for the do-more-with-less pressure, bad-mouthing, demeaning tasks, and the constant worry of if your job will still be here tomorrow. That's no way that anyone should have to live.
