Be that as it may: As the OP said, in this thread, two hours before you laid down your insightful, trenchant challenge, there's a difference between rules and laws.

Just for an instance: Both houses of Congress operate under rules, including, for instance, form and content of address on the floor. Breaking those rules is not breaking the law.

There are "rules" that call for respecting the office of the President, even if you don't respect the occupant of the office. Breaking that rule is not breaking the law.

I'll bet you could come up with similar examples if you wanted to. You're a bright person!

But, hey. Leap logic all you want!
