Seriously, that is the overwhelming sentiment here (and way too many in the party infrastructure).

I legitimately don’t get how denial gets that deep. And now, when clarity is required most, it’s “Hold my beer - I can dig still deeper.”

I just don’t understand. Did everyone seriously just stop talking to other humans who exist outside their ideological enclaves? Can’t think of any reason it went wrong? Just Nazis and idiots all the way down?

And then the doubling down. “We don’t need that filth anyway!”

Lord almighty. We are completely shut out of power because the American people looked at us and went “Nope!” How - HOW - are people still able to sit there, in this perilous moment, and think, “You know, we really are doing an awesome job.”

My God. It is just astonishing to witness. It is like a million Dunning-Krugers combined to form one Mega DK 3000.

It is so dispiriting to observe. I just pray we have at least some politicians who know better than this.
