4. Roberts is getting tired of the weight of Alito and Thomas's shite

They're both held up as the most corrupt, arrogant,.and petty "justices' on the Court, proving time and again that they are total asshats.

Roberts prefers genial meanness or "compassionate conservatism" to overt nasty.
He doesn't like to have his hands look dirty like they do over the Dobbs verdict.
He much prefers justifying turning his brand of White Religious Conservative meanness over to the States - "Not my fault, blame the 10th Amendment"....
