8. Yes. Last night, the most I dared hope for was that they would deal with it early this morning

(early meaning after people are often awake - not 1-2AM). I am surprised and glad they recognized the urgency and acted immediately.

This is three times recently they have surprised me. All three have to do with the deportation of individuals to Venezuea. The first was Roberts' rebuke after Trump called for impeachment. The second was when they essentially issued an advisory opinion that deportees under the alien enemies act had to be given notice and opportunity to challenge the assertion they were gang members. Ordinarily, they would wait until the lower court ruled on the merits. In all three instances, they seem to be driven by Trump's penchant for gamesmanship.
